Red Herring Studios exists to provide both studio spaces and a community of shared interests in order to enable artists / makers to produce, show and otherwise promote their work within a framework defined by practitioners.

Red Herring is managed, maintained and funded by its studio members.

We currently operate from two sites with different characteristics. One is in central Brighton and the other is in Hove. The Brighton site is in Wellesley House (owned by Phoenix Arts Association), at the top of a building with lots of natural light. The Hove site, off Portland Road, provides larger spaces and has a solid ground floor with good access, some parking and limited natural light.

We make every effort to keep some balance and variety of different kinds of art and craft practice at both sites.
